We’ve got another bright, intensely sunny day here. Of course it snowed like hell over the weekend, but honestly, with the temperatures as they’ve been, I’d be surprised if there was anything left of it by the end of today.
After much looking around (and the excellent suggestions from the Chatters group) I have finally found a crochet pattern that works!
The disadvantage, and it’s a very minor one, is this…
I think I’ll do a kind of production line on this. You know, starting with one color, crochet 30 center rounds. Then when those are done, grab the next color and do the next set of color rounds. And then, finally, the last rounds. If I weave in the ends as I go along, I don’t think it will be any big issue when the blanket is completed. The colors in the picture are purely for illustrative purposes. I wouldn’t use that shade of green for anything but experimentation...except possibly at gunpoint…
Oh yeah!
Ahem....
Other projects will be updated later on. Right now, I’m just so happy to be knitting again that a magic-loop hat makes me absolutely delirious! I wish I were always this easy to please :)
Happy Monday!
No trackbacks yet.
I like the green, and the magic loop hat color is very springy.

Vicki - I guess it’s not a bad green really, it’s just not my color :)
The hat - this is Scheepjeswol superwash that’s been stashed for a while. What seemed to me at first to be a rather loud color, suddenly looked chipper and cheerful and I’m enjoying the work - like knitting with sunshine!
That’s not the pretty green you dyed the other day is it? On my monitor it looks more aqua-green instead of spring green. Not a bad color but doesn’t really float my boat this morning.
Charlotte - No :) Definitely not the same yarn; this is Red Heart in acrylic and you’re right about the aqua color. Sort of halfway between an aqua and a mint…
I really like the Flower Burst Square, thanks for including the link (I haven’t seen it before this). I’ll have to try that when the current crochet project is finished.
For the ends, you can catch them in your crochet as you work the next round, which eliminates some of the weaving in of ends.
Pretty yellow for the hat - very spring-y!
Hi Jean Marie :) - Right now I’m crocheting the centers for the blocks. I’ve got 24 so far - 6 more to go!
Yes, the hat color is definitely springy. I’m encouraging all the spring I can :)
I just love that square. It’s so minty fresh. :-)
Opal - Minty fresh! Heh…
The toothpaste of afghan squares!
