The only problem I have with taking on a big and varied project, is that each discovery made, each nugget of information acquired and each new thing learned all open up tons of possibilities in addition to the ones you’re already considering. Where do you draw the line - thus far and no farther!
I’m working on it :)
Remember the tree chart in this post?
Another possibility occurred to me…
The scarf - she grows :)
I realized the other day that Pop, the remaining gerbil of our original three is three years old. At least that’s my estimate of her age based on her size and apparent age when we brought her home. That’s ancient for a gerbil and, while she has slowed down a bit, she’s still doing quite well, climbing into my hand every night with eagerness and alacrity for her pumpkin seed :)
Finally, the next incarnation popped into my noggin a couple of days ago.
Jade got us up earlier this morning than we would have preferred by insisting she was starving and then, when that didn’t work…
Hope you’re all having a good week!
No trackbacks yet.
Wow - that knitting is sure coming along! Take care, and I will be traveling on friday, and able to email you in real time from Saturday… Chatters in real time? Its a possibility, but I’ll just have to see ...
i’ve been looking at some of the lace patterns at this site:
http://www.knitting-delight.com/shop/
some of the designs remind me of your ‘story-telling lace’ on some of your shawls- now, after looking at your drawings for the tree patterns, i wonder if you are going to be producing something christmas-y along the lines of trees and stars- ah, i’m glad i know you and can project my ‘wannados’ off on you rather than having to actually break out the needles and laceweight yarns and actually *do* something myself-
as to editing info, i’ve had some (ahem!!) experience with overloading material with every particular i came across- only looming deadlines and project ‘overlords’ screaming *enough already* ever managed to curtail the enthusiasm for something new- terse and succint are not my virtues!
stay happy-
Nat - So good to hear from you! I hope your visit with your sister is wonderful and that you have a grand time :)
It would be lovely to see you at Chat but for heaven’s sake sweetie, don’t worry about it. Just have a great vacation!
Barb - Thanks for the link - there are certainly some beautiful things there!
No, it’s not a Christmas theme; it’s musically related though :) This piece will be the first thing i’ve ever had the name for before I had done the actual knitting.
It’s nice to know someone besides me is acquainted with the problems of focus. the real problem is that the distractions and additions are all so darned interesting!
Another beautiful lace design! Wow, music and knitting....I am trying to figure this one out. I thought, Oh, Christmas Tree, but no Christmas theme...??? Glad I can live vicariously through you! Can’t wait to see your future developments with this one!
Carol - I was hoping to get started on the prototype yesterday but the day just kind of got away from me :) Maybe this afternoon.
Reading, Music and Knitting - these things I couldn’t live without.
I love that scarf! Such a pretty color.
Jade is such a pretty girl!
Opal - Actually, the color doesn’t do a lot for me - fortunately, Myria loves it :) I finished it Friday night - pictures and pattern next week :)
