I don’t have much to report today as I have been a bit obsessed. I couldn’t begin to guess why this shawl/scarf/whatever-it-is seems to effortlessly commandeer all my free time and attention, but it does. From the way things are going, I suspect it will continue to until it’s finished - which at this rate, shouldn’t take very long :)
I dropped into Fishtail Lace yesterday afternoon.
Here’s where we are now:
My Wednesday is rainy - which makes it a fine day to sit and knit. I hope your Wednesdays are also going well and in directions that please you :)

i like the idea of a ‘meandering shawl’- it sounds most relaxing and like it will allow you to just let your fingers and subconscious knitting knowledge take you along the patterning-
we are huffing and puffing from both heat and humidity here- i always act utterly surprised when a texas summer turns out just like a texas summer- it’s like a personal affront each year, but it does make the idea of autumn even more delightful-
stay happy-
*hee* You’ve been bitten by the laceweight shawl bug! Welcome to the club. :-) It’s coming out just beautifully.
Barb - Well, it’s certainly a low stress, no pressure project - unless you count the inability to work on anything else and the need to pick it up every time I sit down (plus the excuses I make to sit down at every opportunity so I can work on the piece!).
I’m sorry to hear about youe swampy summer - I know that’s no fun. If it helps, it always hits Myria the same way - despite the evidence of previous...well...previous summers :)
That is very pretty! Sounds like fun, designing a shawl.

Opal - Well, it isn’t all lace, but I take your point. Nice to know this disease has a name - besides the one that might require the intervention of a mental health expert :) Heheh…
Sheri - WHy thank you and it sure is fun - though I can’t say there’s anything like a plan involved. It’s like Topsy; it just growed!
I love the colors - beautiful!
Bliss - Thanks :) Some of this yarn I’ve had marinating for quite a while and some is fairly new. And one day it just all came together and said knit me! It’s a cocktail, a combination of three different things that just semed, suddenly, to surface together and combine beautifully. A good arguement for stash :)
