Well, the warm weather isn’t quite gone yet, but it’s on its way out. The temperature this morning was a delicious 64ºF with a light, dry breeze. Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh :) The mid-day temps are still in the 80s, but it’s getting cooler and cooler at night and, thank heaven, there isn’t the kind of humidity there was a couple of weeks ago. Goodness, I’m beginning to feel nearly human again!
The most recent little hat is complete:
Plum and pumpkin hat
And, because I’ve been at a bit of loss the last couple days (finishing up a project always does that to me), there’s this:
Pumpkin texture scarf
I’ve been giving some thought to making PDFs of the patterns available. Personally, I like that format and it makes it very easy to save a file to your own computer. The regular HTML version will remain available as well; the PDF will just be an additional option. It’ll probably take me a little time to get this worked out, but sometime soon, coming to a blog near you...!! Ahem… Eventually there will be PDFs :)
No trackbacks yet.
Ooooh, nice hat!! Intarsia....well...yeah. It “don’t do it” for me. :)
Geez, I shouldn’t say that...you know i’ll end up doing it....
If you need help pdf’ing, let me know. I can pdf the files and then send them to you. That is unless you’re going to go all noble and self-directed and try to learn how to pdf for yourself so you’re all, like, smarter and wiser and more knowledgeable and more independent. What’s the fun in that? ;-)
Very cute hat! I think there’s a review on Knitter’s Review about CE Wings.
well, although i think intarsia has definitely earned its bad reputation (too many ‘cute’ patterns, etc) i prefer it to having to duplicate stitch when putting in some design elements-
the worst of intarsia is the fact that when you are doing it, it is imperative to sit down and *do* it- don’t keep jumping up to do other things unless you really enjoy picking up bobbins that have rolled everywhere- umm, ask me how i know this??
i like the pumpkin yarn- could i be emerging from my little self-created grey/beige,ecru habitat?
stay happy-
Lisa - Works that way for me too. I no sooner decide that something is not for me than something that absolutely requires the skill (or tool - I seem to remember ranting about DPNs) and that I absolutely have to make presents itself. Such is life :)
Ryan - I appreciate the offer; that’s truly kind of you but I’m going to give it a try myself first. Maybe I’ll bother you if I run into problems :) Thanks!
Toni - Thanks, yes there is - interesting reading too. The reviewer didn’t seem too thrilled and honestly, if I’d paid the $8-10 per hank it goes for in the shops, I might not be thrilled either. But for what I paid for it, it’s wonderful :)
Barb - I like the pumpkin color too - a lot! And I am so not an orange girl. I really have to wonder what’s going on! I swear though, if you ever see me rhapsodizing about neon lime green - just shoot me :)
