Well, here I am, a little over a week from when I started and the Meanderthal Shawl is nearly finished. I spent some time with it over the weekend but got stuck on the edging/border. I have a simple little eyelet lace in mind, not too wide, since this isn’t a very big shawl. Still, something keeps nagging at me that this isn’t quite what should go there. It’s particularly annoying because of the devil-may-care way in which the rest of the thing was begun and constructed. There wasn’t supposed to be any angst about what to do next!

I have also been reading the last Potterverse novel which, I must say, gallops right along. Unfortunately, I have no talent for multi-tasking so reading and knitting do not occur at the same time :)
Hopefully I’ll have something to show by Wednesday and in the meantime, I wish you all a gentle and easy Monday!
Oh, and I’m thinking about re-starting Chatters on Saturday nights. How would that work for you folks?

I’m not a multi-tasker either - I’m not quite sure how people can read and knit. More power to them!
dana and i also entered ‘potterville’ on saturday and spent the weekend calling back and forth to check on each other’s progress- too bad i can’t say i spent equal time doing anything like real work! i had promised myself i was going to use the book as a reward when i finished the project i’m on now, but the temptation was too much- i guess i’ll have to put a large chunk of chocolate there to treat myself with instead-
saturday night will be good for ‘chatters’- i have no ‘real life’ to speak of, so it isn’t like social obligations will get in my way- although i was never able to join in on a regular basis before, it was always good to know there was talk and laughter going on, and i could join with you if i could break free of requests from a whining family- (note: i love them, but i do so wish i could occasionally stifle them!)

I’ve been in Potterville this weekend as well and there hasn’t been much knitting going on either.
Your Saturday nights are usually my Saturday afternoons, so I’m not so sure how that would work for me. But I’ll surely try to join whenever I can!
