Despite what it says over there under Monthly Archives, I have been blogging since October of 2003 - 6 years! I can’t quite believe it. I honestly thought I’d get bored with it after a year or so and I grant you, I haven’t always been the most diligent poster in the world :) But, I hadn’t counted on meeting all you exceptional folks and making such dear friends along the way. You all have immeasurably enriched my life and for that, I am profoundly grateful.
Therefore, it seems a little recognition is called for!
I would like to offer these two skeins of bulky wool. I dyed them yesterday and Myria whimsically dubbed the color Emma’s Teal. The specs (per each) are:
Content: 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
Weight: Bulky Weight
Gauge: 3 - 3.75 sts = 1” on #10 - 11 needles (6.0mm-8.0mm)
Quantity: 137 yards/100 gram hank
Care: Hand Wash/Dry Flat
I am also including a pair of old-style Brittany black walnut needles, size 10.5 US (6.5 mm). These are 14” long so they’ll handle quite a few stitches and they’re the perfect size with which to work this yarn.
All you have to do is leave a comment to this post and I will randomly select a name next Thursday morning (November 5th) and post the winner.
Thank-you all for your kindness, friendship and support over the last six years. Let’s hope for another six!

Happy anniversary - and to think you nearly gave up blogging!
Wow! Six years! Congrats, Robbyn! You’re right; it’s amazing that you can make friends you’ll probably never meet in person, but they’re as dear as any you’d ever meet.
Don’t enter me in the drawing, hon. I have more yarn and needles than I know what to do with. I do love the needles (I have a few pairs of those myself) and the yarn is gorgeous!
Again, congrats! And may there be many more years! My blog will be 5 years old in March. Time certainly does fly, doesn’t it?

Hi,
Congratulations on you’re aniversary for your blog! This may seem off topic, but I am a teaching myself knitter and am learning socks. I have already done one pattern and had decided to do another. I was cruising Knitting Pattern Central which had a link to your Leaves and Vines socks. I was looking through the directions before I was about to knit , and noticed that on your graph there are circles or O’s on your graph, but unfortunately there was no legend for that symbol with the other ones. I know all of the other techniques you are using. I am just only wondering what the o’s in the graph are for. I, like you as you posted up, am good with charts and absolutely enjoy using them, but I am completely confused since they show up a number of times and no one has asked or seem to have noticed them. Just wondering if you can fill me in. I’m really excited to try out your pattern; they look absolutely gorgeous!!!

wow 6 years already, congratulations:)
Coming out of lurkdom, congrats on the blogging for the past six years. I enjoy your blog very much and glad you started back again. I love your spirit, even when things are not well for you, you have a good attitude about it all. Take care…..
I am thrilled to have discovered your blogs and your Dye Pot site with all the beautiful yarns and recipes. It’s truly a god-send. I tried out one of the “recipes” today on a silk scarf I had woven, with good results. I hope you’ll continue your blogs for a long, long time!
Okay, you’re celebrating all that you’ve given us by, um, giving away MORE?! You truly are a generous individual, Robbyn. Thank you so much for continuing the blog!
